Complete renovation of 3 storey 19th Century cottage – Rental Property
Brief:
This rental cottage needed to be completely redesigned and renovated from top to bottom to ensure that once it was put back on the market – it could reach its true potential.
This project needed the involvement of all trades working to complete a quick turnaround. The ground floor was converted into a utility room and study with WC. The middle floor became an open plan kitchen and living room with the top floor being the master bedroom and bathroom.
As the property was going back onto the rental market unfurnished it was all the more important to enhance the cottage’s charm by a using the right colour palette to show of its traditional features.
I chose Taupe’s, off white and soft greys throughout to create a muted contemporary feel. The windows and doors, ceiling beams and all other woodwork were painted in Farrow & Ball colours.
