Interior Design of Kitchen and Dining Room

Also Outbuilding conversion to games room and media room

Brief:

The clients felt their home needed an update.

Initially we started with the dining room, choosing a style that could incorporate their children’s photos – which were displayed in baroque cream frames. The kitchen needed to be brought up to date with a new contemporary style and colour, whilst retaining the original cabinetry and layout. Lastly, the clients wanted to convert one of their outbuildings to house a games room with a TV room upstairs.

Dining Room:
Wooden panelling was added to all the walls to make an interesting feature and painted in a soft ivory colour. A subtle cream shimmer wallpaper was added above. A new dining table and chairs were sourced and finished off with a mirrored sideboard to add a touch of glamour. Black and chrome table lamps add a bit of drama and tie in with the crystal ceiling light.

Kitchen:
The cabinetry was painted in a soft grey to match the new flooring. The island was painted in a rich navy colour to provide a dramatic centre piece to the room. The original dark granite worktop was replaced with a more contemporary pure white quartz and new polished chrome pendant lights were fitted above. Antique mirrored glass was installed behind the cooker range to open up the space and reflect light. A modern dining suite was added as well as bespoke upholstered bar stools.

Outbuilding:
A bar was incorporated in the games room as well as a pool table and football table. The colour scheme of dark grey suited the themes of both rooms with the addition of a split faced tiled wall to add texture and drama.

The upstairs room featured 2 large bespoke sofa chaises complete with cushions and throws for cosy TV viewing. Ambient lighting was installed to complete the atmosphere.
